CR architecture + design is seeking a talented Architectural Associate to join our Retail Program Team.  This experienced, multi-office team provides exceptional service and expertise to one of the world's most recognizable brands while thriving in the fast-paced nature of retail work. 

Your Role

As an Architectural Associate, you're primarily responsible for drafting accurate and complete sets of architectural drawings for remodels of existing stores, new stores, ground leases, high profile and corporate facilities located nationwide. While juggling multiple projects at a time in various phases, this team is responsible for the whole process, from start to finish.  Including due diligence, surveys, space planning, design development and construction documents.   While working in a very fast-paced environment, you'll have the opportunity to learn from and interact with many different types of people, including the client as well as other disciplines. 

 Our Architectural Associates are curious and hungry learners who love the details but still keep their eyes open for innovative opportunities to improve the process, plan or project.  As a critical member of the team, we'll quickly get you up to speed on the client, standards, and procedures and we'll make sure you have the guidance and support to continue advancing your career at CR.

What You Will Do

  • Produce accurate and complete sets of construction documents on-time utilizing Revit
  • Drafting of plans, sections, details, schedules, and elevations
  • Participate in the field verification process
  • Complete due diligence, code research, and permitting
  • Coordinate with client, consultants, in-house & external MEP teams, structural and civil engineers, and building departments
  • Offer peer reviews and drive quality of design and production
  • Effectively manage your time to accomplish tasks within the budgeted timeframe
  • Proactively seek out additional work and clarity on assignments

Your Qualifications

  • Professional degree (Master or Bachelor) in Architecture from an accredited program, or like industry experience
  • 3-5 years post graduate industry experience
  • Experience in retail, restaurant, or commercial mixed-use architecture is highly desired
  • Technically skilled and able to document in Revit is required
  • Construction document production experience is required 
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational, multi-tasking and time-management skills
