Job Summary:

The Market Leader (Principal) plays a key role in CR's strategic plan by leading a specific geographic region. Providing vision and leadership, the Market Leader acts a champion for embracing new challenges and seeking wins. The Market Leader directly leads business development efforts ensuring financial success and regional growth.

Job Duties:

  • Be a key stakeholder in the firm's development and execution of the annual business plan.
  • Lead financial and operational growth within a region.
  • Strengthen and nurture existing client relationships while identifying avenues to increase market share.
  • Engage and deliver new business opportunities.
  • Effectively lead and mentor team members throughout various office locations.
  • Attend and present at client meetings and interviews and interface with higher level client contacts.
  • Act as CR's ambassador at industry events.
  • Attend and actively participate in industry events to increase the awareness and market presence of the organization.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in architecture from an accredited institution along with 15+ years of related experience, professional registration is required.
  • Demonstrated success building, nurturing, and fostering new and existing client relationships and motivating and leading internal teams is required.
  • Exceptional communications skills including written, verbal, and presentation are required.
  • Ability to interact successfully with clients, other professional disciplines, and team members at a variety of levels is required.
  • Experience in generating project proposals and reviewing and negotiating consultant and client contracts for professional services is required.
  • Knowledge of typical KPI's and how they are impacted is required.
  • Subject matter expert in multiple building types that fall within CR's market sector targets is preferred.
  • Exceptional communications skills including written, verbal, and presentation is required.
  • Entrepreneurial spirt and strong leadership qualities is preferred.
  • Established client relationships that can be leveraged in new role is preferred.

Physical & Mental Demands

  • Ability to perform assigned duties with minimum supervision is required.
  • Ability to remain sedentary for extended lengths of time and occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office equipment, etc. is required.
  • Ability to constantly operate a computer and other office equipment and frequently communicate and exchange information with internal and external parties is required.
  • Ability to drive/travel during the workday and/or overnight travel as needed is required.
  • Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.
